The love of a family...

.....is a powerful thing.
we found out on September 7th that my dads lymphoma had gon
e to his cerebral spinal fluid. We were so shocked because
he had been doing so well with the chemo and
radiation treatments with the mass in his chest.
He had started saying things that didn't
make any sense and then he started forgetting things
all together. They did a lumbar puncture and the test came
back showing lymphocytes in the fluid. He has gone steeply down hill
since. He had a port put in his head so that they could draw fluid and administer
chemo right into his head. He has had 4 treatments
so far and not much progress at all.
So we are relying on family and prayers. We are a great
family and we all love each other so much. We can get through
anything...no matter how hard. I love my mom...she is an amazing person
and is being an amazing caregiver...we try to help out as much as possible.
I love my dad...we have always joked that he is like a cat and has
9 lives...we all should have known after all his car, climbing and work
accidents that it would have to be a terminal illness that would take him. He's a trooper and
we love him very much!

My mom told me about it yesterday, we are so sorry. I can't imagine what you guys are going through. If there is anything we can do to help let us know, we will keep you in our prayers.

I am seriously in tears reading this. When Derek told me about your dad last week I was so sad. Our prayers are with you and your family!
